2018 RSL President's Cup Day 2 B&G Recap

 
 

Mesquite, NV (2/9/18)

Day 2 of the 2018 RSL Presidents Cup for the U9-U12 Boys and Girls was a success. With absolutely fantastic weather, amazing soccer, and tons of fun, the tournament had a a great day 2. With finals tomorrow, teams were positioning all day to have a chance of raising the trophy tomorrow night.

 

Highlighted Games

 

Boys U9

There was a fantastic back and forth match between AFC Apex and USA Elite that ended 4-3 in favor of AFC Apex. Another team that impressed was Wasatch SC who scored 9 goals in a very impressive victory.

Boys U10

A pair of high scoring ties were some of the funnest games of the day as games USA Elite v Utah Glory and Utah Surf v Rangers East both ended 3-3. La Roca S scored the most goals in the group with 5 in their victory.

Boys U11

Field 10 was the place to be for goals in the Boys U11 age group with all 3 games featuring at least 9 goals. Murray SC scored all 9 in their game, while 9 were scored between UDA and Liverpool with UDA winning. In perhaps the best game of the day, also on field 10, Liverpool beat USA 6-5.

Boys U12

A couple of fun scoring games as AYSO United won 4-3 vs Utah Rangers. Also in the U12 group La Roca beat Sparta 3-2. Finally, AFC Apex was the highest scoring team with 6 goals in their victory.

Girls U9

Utah Storm and Heat FC both played two games and both went 1 and 1 on the day. Utah Storm beat Avalanche and lost to La Roca S. While Heat FC beat Utah Celtic and lost to USA Premier.

Girls U10

Lots of close games today as no one won by more than 2-0 goals. USA Metro, Rampage, and La Roca all got 1 goal victories. While La Roca S and USA Elite won by 2 goals. The lone tie had the most goals 2-2 as Utah Storm played Utah Celtic.

Girls U11

Not as many close games in the U11 age group, the big winner was Metasport, who was also the highest scoring team with 7 goals. Rampage, FC Mesquite, and Park City also won big today.

Girls U12

Lots of teams scored two goals today with 6 teams hitting right on that number. The only team that scored more than 2 today was Utah Glory in their 3-0 victory vs Wasatch.
