Male Youth Referee of the Year
Adam Webb

Webb Adam has been officiating for 3 years and has shown a real desire to pursue officiating as a career. He has traveled routinely across and out of the valley in pursuit of a good match and in an effort to work with officials that he can learn from. He has shown well on numerous occasions, in the middle and on the line, as he has helped with a broad variety of youth tournaments including, but not limited to, Pioneer Cup, Sparta and the State Cup Championships in the fall of 2004. Adam has also been part of the officiating team on many adult matches and helped officiate in several adult tournaments. Is currently the youth representative on the Utah Referee Board and plays on an "all-referee" indoor team.

At the present time Adam is a senior at Skyline High School where he carries a 4.0 GPA. He is carrying 5 AP classes and plans to attend college this fall. He plays lead bass in the school orchestra, jazz band and in the Crescent Super Band which will be touring Europe next summer and playing at the North Sea Jazz Festival. He also plays the piano and is a National Merit Semi-finalist.

It is rare to find young referees that are so enthusiastic and dedicated to pursuing excellence in the craft of officiating. Adam has shown that he is very dependable and willing to accept whatever games/assignments he is given. He is hoping to gain a lot more experience in the years to come and is currently a Grade 7 - moving rapidly toward his State badge. Adam showed well at Far West Youth Regionals last year as one of the 10 member delegation sent by Utah, continuing to receive games through the semi-finals. He has a professional demeanor and will benefit greatly from the opportunities he will be offered as the youth referee of the year from the State of Utah.
