April 11, 2005 Clarification of Re-Scheduling Process In response to numerous inquires and voiced confusion from Association members, Girls Competition Director, Debbie Haycock has outlined a step-by-step process for re-scheduling games. The following steps should be followed to aid in the re-scheduling process: 1. Both the Home Team and Visiting Team coaches must agree to re-schedule the game. 2. The Home Team Coach or Team Representative should first contact the Field Coordinator who is responsible for the scheduling the home field to communicate that the current game is being re-scheduled and to reserve an available date and time for the re-scheduled game to take place. 3. The Referee Assignor responsible assigning referees for the home team's games should be contacted to communicate the game is being re-scheduled and arrange for referee coverage for the re-scheduled game. 4. Once all factors of re-scheduling the game have been worked out, the Home Team Coach must down-load a [Re-Schedule Approval Form] from the "Forms" page on the www.utahyouthsoccer.net website, fill-in the required information, and email the form to Boys Comp. Director, David Malchenson at pdmbuild@aol.com or Girls Comp., Director, Debbie Haycock at debbiesgang@comcast.net for approval. 5. The Visiting Team Coach must also email his or her agreement to the terms of the re-scheduling request to the appropriate Competition Director before approval will be issued. 6. Both the Home Team and Visiting Team coaches may agree to re-schedule a game for any reason. If an agreement cannot be reached, the Re-Scheduling Policy, outlining valid reasons and time frames for re-scheduling, must be adhered to. Disputes regarding the Re-Scheduling Policy must be directed to the Boys and Competition Director for resolution. To review Re-Scheduling Policy click here. |
