Utah Hosts US Youth Soccer's Workshop and Coaches Convention
Utah Youth Soccer Association will help host the US Youth Soccer adidas Workshop and Coaches Convention, celebrating its 15th anniversary, as it returns to Salt Lake City next week. The Workshop and Coaches Convention has continued to become the place for those involved in youth soccer and provides a unique environment of learning and fun on the field of play and in the classroom sessions for America's favorite youth sport. The Workshop and Coaches Convention also equips administrators with the latest information and tools on how to better manage and market their club, league and association. If the educational elements weren't enough, the Exhibit Hall at the Workshop and Coaches Convention is the nation's largest youth soccer-specific trade show. With more than 200 exhibitors, attendees can examine the latest soccer-related technology and equipment. The US Youth Soccer Scan Card also returns with a variety of prizes available to convention attendees throughout the event. The Workshop and Coaches Convention is highlighted the naming of the 2004 US Youth Soccer adidas Coach of the Year. Utah's own Robyn Bretzing, Founder and President of the Celtic Storm Soccer Club will be honored as Region IV's recipient of the 2004 US Youth Soccer adidas Girls' Coach of the Year award and will be one of four nominees for the national honor. As host to this year's gala, Utah Youth Soccer Association has the responsibility and opportunity to provide the US Youth national staff with volunteers to help make the event a success. Director of Development, Bruce Cuppett has been appointed as the Host Committee Operations Coordinator and has assembled a group of coordinators to help oversee the efforts of volunteers needed in specific areas throughout the convention. Those coordinators have already assembled teams but are in need of additional people to volunteer.
