South Davis Soccer Association to hire Coaching Director

South Davis Soccer Association (SDSA) with a membership of 4,700 players - about 3,600 recreation players, 350 district competition players and 750 state competition players - and a desire to improve the quality of soccer play throughout SDSA have decided to hire a Coaching Director. The intent is to develop a step by step age specific training program that will build a strong recreation program feeding the competition programs with those players with the skills, game understanding, and focus to compete at the highest level. Players should have a soccer outlet from the age of 4 through 19 which includes a less intense soccer experience for the older player who wishes to continue in soccer.

SDSA is 30 years old and has provided various soccer programs in the 6 cities in South Davis County. Over the years our teams have proven successful in league play and in local and out of state tournaments. Two SDSA teams have represented Region IV at the US Youth National Championship Tournament.

District Coaching Director:
Salary = $25,000 to $35,000 additional earning opportunities with camps. Some Fringe Benefits

Duties: Develop and oversee a training program for players from the ages of 4 through 19, recreation to the highest level of competition. Review of all competition coaching applications, select Coaching Directors for the Recreation, District Competition and State Competition programs. Oversee player and coach training programs including camps.

Professional Requirements: A minimum of USSF National B license and a USSF National Youth Certificate or can obtain the Youth Certificate within one (1) year.

Experience: Coaching/training at all levels of play, structuring training programs, and evaluating and directing other coaches.

Availability: Availability of selected coach negotiated at time of hiring.
