Coaches and team administrators should read the following important announcements and related links:
Important Scheduling Notes The spring season kicks off on Saturday, April 2nd and will end for most teams on May 28th. The season will continue for some teams through June 4th. Some teams will note that their schedules vary from the time or date slots that were published in Proposed Spring Schedule of Days and Time. These deviations resulted from field availability or other factors beyond the control of the scheduler. Scheduling limitations also required games to be scheduled in all divisions through the State Cup tournament. Teams participating in the State Cup tournament will need to reschedule any games that might conflict with State Cup obligations. Teams in this situation are encouraged to make arrangements as soon as possible to reschedule such games. Coaches of opposing teams are reminded that their cooperation will be appreciated and is, in any event, required. In those divisions with an odd number of teams, it was not always possible to provide an equal number of home and away games, due to scheduling constraints and field scarcities. Due to the continuing growth of our association and the ever decreasing number of fields that are available, it has become necessary to alter the scheduling process. Beginning fall 2005, the schedule for the State Competition League will be generated without slotting each division into a single set of time slots. Although the schedules will be less predictable for a team on a weekly basis, the resulting schedule will allow the Association to make more efficient use of scare resources, namely fields and referees. In addition, the simplified scheduling process will allow the Association to release the schedule earlier. Match officials shall be empowered to enforce these provisions and may suspend or terminate games in the event that any team, coach, parent, or spectator declines to abide by requests from match officials to comply with these standards.
