Region IV ODP Camp 2006 Update #1

The first week of Region IV's ODP camp has concluded for Utah's '92 girls and the '93 boys. The respective Region IV ODP camps are held at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho for the girls and the boy's camp is held at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.

The '92 girls, under the direction of Head Coach Chuck Miller, found themselves matched against Cal South, the Region IV All-Stars, Nevada and Oregon. Utah's best performance came in a thrilling 2-1 win over the Region IV All-Stars on day two. The '92 girls had four players selected to the Region IV ODP Pool: Elli Measom, Kealia Ohai, Kyleigh Royall and Felicia Sortor.

The '93 boys, under the direction of Head Coach Mike Polich, were matched against Cal North, Idaho, Colorado and a United team comprised of Cal North and Montana players. Utah's match of the week came against rival Colorado which ended in a 2-2 draw. After a goal each in the first minute of play, things settled down into a very competitive and entertaining match. The '93 boys had three players selected to the Region IV ODP Pool: Dillon Richens, Isaiah Soto and Adam Talbot.

As anticipated, this is another tremendous start for Utah and our ODP players and staff. The '91 girls and the '92 boys arrive to their respective camps this week and we wish them continued success in their play.
