ODP State Team Pools Announced
2007 ODP Super Academy Revealed

State Technical Director Greg Maas and ODP Administrator Judy Martin offered special thanks to all of the parents, players, coaches, administrators, and volunteers, for their efforts during this year's ODP tryouts. Nearly 1,000 players attended ODP tryouts this year, surpassing last year's record by about 250 players. "The interest and passion shared by everyone around the state for ODP is nothing short of remarkable, which clearly speaks volumes about our program and the great people we have involved," Maas said.

Faced with the self-imposed challenge to meet the needs of [all] players involved with ODP, coach Maas has created the ODP Super Academy. Kicking off June 2007, the ODP Super Academy will feature a comprehensive eight session (once-a-week) academy training program that will help to develop and prepare each player for next year's ODP and competition programs. Player selections were determined by individual technical, tactical, physical, and psychological talents. Final selections for this year's state team pools were exceptionally difficult. "I would like to congratulate and thank each player who attended tryouts and am confident that every player found the process to be very challenging and rewarding," Maas noted. Maas also praised the efforts of his coaching staff for their thoroughness and commitment to excellence in selecting this year's state team pools.
