Utahns Selected to U.S. Women's National Teams

State Technical Director Greg Maas announced that Elli Reed and Lindsi Lisonbee of Park City, Utah were selected to participate in the inaugural Women's Nike Friendlies, and represented the U.S. U-17 and U-16 Women's National Teams respectively. Reed and Lisonbee are products of the Utah Youth Soccer Association's Olympic Development Program (ODP) and club teams affiliated with UYSA.

The U.S. Soccer Federation welcomed 24 girls club teams for 42 matches at the first-ever Women’s Nike Friendlies, held Sept. 28-Oct. 1, at U.S. Soccer's National Training Center in Carson, California. Each team played three games in an environment that stresses quality soccer and player development over wins and losses. Tournament standings were not kept during the competition. The matches were staged in three age groups: U-16's, U-17's, and U-18's in which UYSA’s Reed and Lisonbee each competed.
