Show Me The Money!
A Breakdown of Your Membership Fees

When you write that check to pay for your soccer fees do you often ask yourself "Where is my money going?" I hope to offer an explanation for what you are paying that directly goes to the Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA) - a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our members can be confident that the Association's fees are used solely to cover the actual cost of membership services.

The Association's standard membership fee of $11.00 is calculated to cover the basic costs incurred by the Association to register a player and provide basic membership benefits. This membership fee is paid once per year for each registrant. The breakdown for this fee is as follows:

SERVICECOSTS
Insurance2.83
Member Services & Administration2.37
Risk Management 2.00
Registration & Related Costs1.80
United States Soccer Federation (USSF)1.00
United States Youth Soccer (USYS) 1.00
TOTAL $11.00

Membership Services include coaching education, website administration, advertising, newsletter, soccer clinics, and a host of other services. Budget information is regularly presented for review to it board of directors. Financial Audits are conducted annually and made available on the UYSA website.

I trust this information provides some clarity on how your $11.00 membership fee that you pay to UYSA (the "state" as referred to by some) is spent. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me directly, Leisa Vineyard, President of Utah Youth Soccer Association. Leisa_uysa@hotmail.com
