ODP Tryouts in Layton Set for Saturday

State Technical Director Greg Maas and ODP Administrator Judy Martin announce that tryouts for the 2006-07 ODP season will be held in Layton this coming Saturday, November 4th. Additional tryouts will be held November 11th and 18th in Sandy and Orem. "ODP is off to another great start; over 200 players attended this past weekend's tryouts in Hyrum and St. George. Importantly, I want to thank all of the parents, players, coaches, and volunteers for their continued support of ODP. Looking ahead, I anticipate another exceptional tryout in Layton for ODP," Maas said. The complete ODP tryout schedule is posted on this site.

Soccer players born between 1990-94 are eligible for this year's ODP program. Tryouts for the boys will be from 9:00 to Noon, and the girls will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. This week's tryouts will be held on Saturday, November 4th at Central Davis Jr. High located at 653 Church St. in Layton.

Utah Youth Soccer's Olympic Development Program is part of a national program that identifies and develops talented, committed youth soccer players to represent their state, region, and national team programs. Last year, Utah achieved unprecedented success with 32 young Utahns advancing to represent the state in region and national team pools.
