The Park City Extreme U12 Boys took first place in the inaugural Denver Cup this past weekend with an extraordinary effort put forth by all its members. The team played at the new Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in suburban Denver, teams from all around Colorado were there to compete. Due to a quirk in the scheduling, the Extreme boys were forced to play 5 complete matches (including the final) within 28 hours. In addition, only 2 substitutes were available for the first two matches and only one reserve was available for the remaining 3. Despite these obstacles, the Park City team was able to amass 16 goals for, while only conceding 2 goals against, leaving their goalkeeper with 3 clean sheets.

The team, coached by Erik “Huf” Hufnagle, deserves a well earned congratulations. The roster included: Kyle Beiling, Jester Butterfield, Tanner Cartwright, Conner Dawson, Zach Laufer, Will Macfarlane, Brenton Mandelkorn, Brad McNeely, Hunter Perry, Sully Tesch, Simon Whiting, Enzo Wiener, and Josh Young. Well done Park City!
