UYSA held Presidential elections at the 2006 AGM. Leisa Vineyard chose to re-run for election and Scott Maxfield, a previous Vice-President of UYSA, chose to run as well. Scott Maxfield won the election and is now the new UYSA President.

UYSA is excited to welcome our new President and would like to say thank you to Leisa Vineyard for all of the countless, and often thankless, hours she donated to making UYSA better for everyone involved.

"I would like to thank and express my sincere appreciation to Leisa for all she has done on behalf of UYSA and our membership, not only as our former President, but every other role she has served in the past. I am confident that Leisa, and her family, will find her extra free time to be enlightening at many different levels. Again, thank you, you have been a great ambassador for our Association," said State Technical Director Greg Maas.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Leisa for her past service as President of Utah Youth Soccer. She has spent many hours working on behalf of the youth players who make up our great organization," said UYSA President Scott Maxfield. "The time that she has spent away from family and friends to attend meetings and attend to soccer duties, are minutes lost, that I know she willing surrendered, knowing that the cause was a good one.
