Utah Soccer Hall of Fame Welcomes the 2007 Class of Inductees
UYSA Coaches VandenHazel and Bretzing to be Honored

Utah Soccer Association The Utah Soccer Association today announces the election of five new members to the Utah Soccer Hall of Fame. The five new inductees are as follows:

  • Harold O. Turville (Posthumously) -- Salt Lake AFC
  • Fred Doesburg (Posthumously) -- Hollandia S.C.
  • Robyn Smith-Bretzing - Orem, UT -- Pan World F.C.
  • Ben VandenHazel - Salt Lake City, UT -- Sparta United S.C.
  • Bill Bosgraaf - Cottonwood Heights, UT -- Pan World F.C.

In addition, Mr. Orley Bills will receive a lifetime achievement award for his contributions toward soccer officiating and its development within the State. Robyn Smith-Bretzing will become not only the youngest member but also the first woman to be inducted into the Utah Soccer Hall of Fame.

An induction banquet in their honor, with Real Salt Lake as the event sponsor,, has been scheduled at the Sheraton - City Centre, located at 155 West 500 South, Salt Lake City, on Saturday, March 3, 2007 - 7:00 p.m. The Utah Soccer Association has scheduled a prominent guest speaker and is expecting representation from the United States Soccer Federation, as well as members from the United States Adult Soccer Association and Real Salt Lake.

Tickets for this event may be purchased by contacting the Utah Soccer Association at (801) 263-8166 and can be purchased via credit card. Ticket will also be available at the Utah Youth Soccer Association's office. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
