Utah Youth Soccer Association is saddened by the death of Stanley McIllece who died peacefully on January 27, 2007. McIllece served many years as the District 3 Chairman for UYSA. His soccer success was both on and off the field with positive influence in the lives of the players he coached. McIllece coached the Red Devils Boys Soccer Team--a premier level team. As U12 and U14 Utah State Champions the Red Devils represented Utah at the Far West Regionals and made it to the Finals both years.

Sparta United Founder, Ben Vandenhazel, remembers Coach McIllece as "a coach who touched a lot of kids lives in a positive way. He was always there for them. Even in later years he was a support to the team members and their families." Funeral services will be held Wed. Jan. 31, 2007, 11 a.m. in the Old Mission Road Chapel, 1433 E. Old Mission Road (7930 So.), Sandy.
