State Technical Director Greg Maas and ODP Administrator Judy Martin announced that tryouts for the 2007-08 ODP season will be held in Layton this coming Saturday, November 3rd. Additional tryouts will be held November 10th and 17th in Sandy and Orem. Despite a schedule overload with State Cup this year, ODP is off to another great start, with nearly 200 players attended this past weekend's tryouts in Logan and St. George. "I want to thank all of the parents, players, coaches, and volunteers for their continued support for ODP; and I look forward to another exceptional tryout in Layton this Saturday," Maas said. Soccer players born between 1991-95 are eligible for this year's ODP program. Tryouts for the boys will be held from 9:00 to Noon, and the girls will be from1:00 to 4:00 PM. This week's tryouts will be held on Saturday, November 3rd at Ellison Park located at 2200 West Hillfield Road (700 North).in Layton.

Utah Youth Soccer's Olympic Development Program is part of a national program that identifies and develops talented, committed youth soccer players to represent their state, region, and national team programs. Last year, Utah achieved unprecedented success with 34 young Utahns advancing to represent the state in region and national team pools.
