Utah Youth Soccer Association is pleased to announce Matt Linford as one of the newest member of the UYSA office staff. Matt has been hired as the Director of Operations. His love and commitment to the game will prove to be a valued asset to the UYSA offices and members.

Matt was born and raised in Ogden, Utah and has been involved in playing and coaching for the majority of his life. After graduating high school, he spent 2 years in California. Upon returning to Utah, he enrolled at Weber State University from 2000 to 2006. Matt played soccer with the Weber State men's soccer club. He graduated in December 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration emphasis Marketing.

His love for the game was rekindled with the arrival of ReAL Salt Lake and an opportunity to be a competitive coach. In the summer of 2007, Matt was offered an opportunity to help as an assistant coach with the men's soccer club at Weber State University. Coaching has provided an avenue to give back to something that has been so positive in his life. He is excited for an opportunity that allows him to help the youth in the Utah Youth Soccer Association become both great soccer players and good people in their respective communities.

Matt enjoys golf, water skiing, snow skiing, camping, movies, and having fun with family and friends. He is the oldest of four and the only boy.
