April 13, 2004 Soccer Community Mourns Loss of District 7 Coach
The Utah Youth Soccer Association was saddened by the sudden and tragic death of Brad Dance, a long-time coach in the Cache Valley Soccer Association. Dance was killed in car accident on April 8, 2004, while vacationing with his family in Idaho. Dance served as a youth soccer coach for many years in Cache Valley, Utah. Most recently, he was the coach of the Providence Dolphins, an under 12 girls competitive team that participated in District 7 of the Utah Youth Soccer Association. Dance's obituary, which was published today in the Salt Lake Tribune and the Deseret News, noted Dance's contributions to youth soccer. "He was especially faithful as a soccer coach several times," it said. "He had mentioned lately how much fun it was to take a team, coach them, and see them improve. He loved each one of the children that he coached." Dance's funeral is scheduled for Friday, April 16th at 1:00 at the Fruitland Acres Ward Chapel in Providence, Utah. He is survived by his wife, Tammy, and four children, Taylor, Tanner, Jenny, and Luke. |
