Jeff Robinson Announces Resignation as Protest & Appeals Chief
The Chairman of the Protest & Appeals Committee, Jeff Robinson, has
announced his resignation effective May 22, 2003. Robinson has served the
Utah Youth Soccer Association in this capacity for more than three years.
"I accepted Jeff's resignation with great appreciation for his
distinguished service," said UYSA President Paul C. Burke. "As Jeff's
predecessor, I know how important the Protest and Appeal Committee is to
our Association. Under Jeff's stewardship, the Protest and Appeals
Committee addressed many difficult issues with firmness and fairness. I
also know that Jeff has sacrificed an enormous amount of time from both
his family and his law practice in order to provide this vital service to
the Utah Youth Soccer Association."
Burke asked UYSA's members to express their appreciation to Robinson for
his administrative work on behalf of the organization. "Jeff is a
successful attorney, and he has made an important contribution to the
Association with his legal skills. Thanks to Jeff and other members of
the Protest and Appeals Committee, UYSA members can be confident of
receiving a fair hearing through UYSA's appeals processes."
Robinson plans to continue his service to UYSA as a coach in the State
Competition League. President Burke plans to appoint a new chairman for
the Protest & Appeals Committee before the May 2003 meeting of the Board
of Directors. UYSA members interested in serving on the Protest & Appeals
Committee are encouraged to contact the State Office via email.
