Referee Reports To Be Submitted Online
State Competition League Adopts Web-Based
Reporting System
The fall season of the State Competition League will inaugurate a new era
for referee reports. No longer will referees need to fuss with pen and ink,
carbon copies, and bulky forms. No longer will referees have to choose
between a trip to the State Office and the post office. Instead, referees
will submit match reports for games in the State Competition League through
UYSA's new online Referee Report system.
The process is easy and convenient. After a match, the center referee will
access UYSA's website at www.utahyouthsoccer.net
, select the "Referee Report" icon on the
home page, fill out the report, and then--with a click of a button--file the
report electronically.
The new system will be demonstrated at the upcoming Referee In-service
meeting at 7:30 on August 14th at the Salt Lake County Government Center (Room N1100), 2001 South State Street. Another demonstration
will be given during the Advanced Referee Training meeting on at 8:00 p.m. August 18th at
the Salt Lake County Government Center (Room N2003), 2001 South State Street.

Referees will still be required to submit a match report to UYSA within four
days, although the ease of this system should encourage referees to file
promptly after a game. In the event that a referee retains a pass due to a
red card infraction, yellow card accumulation, or any other circumstance,
the referee will need to return the pass to the State Office (4476 South
Century Drive, Suite D, SLC, UT 84123) within 48 hours after the completion
of the match.
Any questions about the new Referee Report system should be directed to
Executive Director Scott Harward at the State Office at (801) 268-3365 or
via email.
