ODP Region Camp Update #2

The second week of Region IV ODP Camp just finished for the 88 Boys in Oregon and the 88 Girls in Idaho. We would like to wish the 87 Boys and Girls good luck this week with their respective camps.

The 88 Boys had a solid performance throughout the week, sparked by their tremendous 1-0 victory over Cal South and 5-1 win over Oregon. James Jaramillo was selected to the 88 Region Pool for a second year in a row.

The 88 Girls faced tougher challenges this week with tired legs and untimely injuries. Nonetheless, they finished with a win over Arizona, tied both Idaho and the United Team and lost a tough match to Oregon. Though not as successful as they had planned, the girls learned a tremendous amount. More importantly, what improvements are necessary to move to the next level.

89 ODP Region Pool Update: Marco Angelo (89 Boys) and Megan Ohai (89 Girls) were both selected to National Pool and will attend the U14 National Camp in early August. Congratulations to each of you on your well earned and deserved selection -- GOOD LUCK! And of course, a special THANK YOU to the players, coaches and administrators for a job well done!
