ODP Region IV Camp Update #4

ODP Region IV Camp just finished for the ‘87 boys and the '88 girls. The ‘87 boys finished camp with a 0-1-4 record. Heading into their final match with Colorado, the '87 boys were unbeaten, yet they had tied their first four games (quite possibly a camp record). They drew with Idaho, Hawaii, Arizona, and Nevada, and their only loss came to Colorado in the final game. The ’90 girls finished camp with a 1-3 record. They started camp with a win over Idaho, and then lost three very competitive matches to Arizona, and then to both of the United teams.

The ’87 boys had two players selected to the ODP Region IV Pool: Kellen Christensen and David Gates. The The ’88 girls had one player selected to the ODP Region IV Pool: Jessica Williams.

To date, Utah Youth Soccer's ODP has had 17 players selected to participate in the ODP Region IV Pool’s, and 2 players selected to participate in the boys ’91 US National Team Pool. The 19 players recognized [so far] this year has surpassed the record of 13 set in 2003 – with the '87 girl’s team still to play. Congratulations to the players, coaches, and administrative staff for a job well done!
