Southern Utah Soccer Summit Set for March 10th
UYSA & SUSL Launch the Southern Utah Soccer Initiative

The Southern Utah Soccer League will host a summit meeting to discuss the future of youth soccer in Utah's Dixie. The Southern Utah Summit will be held at Snow Canyon Junior High School on Wednesday, March 10, 2004, beginning at 5:30 PM.

UYSA Technical Director Greg Maas and other coaches from Utah Youth's Olympic Development Program will begin the summit at 5:30 PM by conducting a free clinic for players and coaches. An hour later, the summit will continue with an open forum discussion on the future of youth soccer in Washington and Iron Counties. The central focus of this meeting will be to plan to expand and improve the soccer programs available to the youth of Southern Utah. The public is invited to participate in this historic event.

The Southern Utah Summit coincides with the launch of the Southern Utah Soccer Initiative by the Utah Youth Soccer Association. In January 2004, the Association's Board of Directors approved a proposal to make an investment in its local affiliate in Southern Utah. The ultimate goal of this program is to make it possible for every child in southern Utah to have access to the programs of the US Youth Soccer Association, the nation's leading youth soccer organization
