Leisa Vineyard Hired As UYSA's Programs Director
Office Manager Scott Harward today announced the hiring of Leisa Vineyard as the Programs Director for the Utah Youth Soccer Association. "I am delighted that Leisa Vineyard accepted my offer, " Harward said. "I look forward to working with Leisa to serve this organization's membership."
Vineyard's hiring follows her resignation on February 12, 2003 as Vice President of the Association. Vineyard then made application for the Programs Director position. At the end of February, Harward reviewed the applications received for the job and offered the open position to Vineyard who had worked in the office on an interim basis. "It was an obvious decision," Harward said. "Leisa is uniquely qualified and well prepared to serve in this vital role."
Vineyard joins the staff of the Utah Youth Soccer Association with a wealth of experience in youth soccer in the state. In addition to her tenure as the Association's vice-president, Vineyard previously served as a recreation league president and as a league competition director.
President Paul C. Burke joined Harward in welcoming Vineyard to the ranks of the Association's staff. "Leisa has long served the Utah Youth Soccer Association as a volunteer," Burke said. "Last month we lost Leisa's services as our vice-president, but we are pleased that Leisa has decided to continue her service to UYSA in this capacity."
Burke continued: "Leisa has worked in soccer at the grassroots and at the highest levels of this Association. I expect that her insights and experience will prove invaluable to the growth and development of the Utah Youth Soccer Association."
