District 2 Elects New Chairperson
Leisa Vineyard Returns to the Board of Directors

At its most recent meeting, the Board of Directors of District 2 elected Leisa Vineyard to serve as its new District Chairperson. Vineyard succeeds Bill Patterson, whose term expired. Patterson did not seek re-election to the post, and Vineyard was elected without opposition to represent District 2, which spans the western part of Salt Lake County as well as Tooele County.

Vineyard returns to the Utah Youth Soccer Association's Board of Directors after an absence of approximately one year, much of which was spent as a member of the Association's staff. Vineyard brings a wealth of experience to the Board of Directors. Before her tenure as Programs Manager, Vineyard served a term as the Association's Vice-President and, before that, as a league president in District 2.

President Paul C. Burke welcomed Vineyard back to the Board of Directors. "Leisa is a tireless advocate for the children in Utah who play the world's game," Burke said. "Although Leisa's understanding of the State Office and particularly the scheduling process will help the Board to make informed decisions, it is Leisa's focus on the grassroots that will be her most important contribution to the Board of Directors."
