Scott Harward Promoted to Executive Director
The Board of Directors of the Utah Youth Soccer Association is pleased to
announce the promotion of Scott Harward to the position of Executive
Director. The Board's action represents a strong vote of confidence in
Harward's performance since joining the Association as its Office Manager
around the beginning of the year.
"Scott's promotion is well-deserved," said President Paul C. Burke.
"Scott has been a tireless worker during the last few months. He has
taken an integral role in reinventing the Association. Whether managing
finances, developing advertising materials, promoting the upcoming Women's
National Team match, or supervising the State Office, Scott's focus has
been on serving the Association's membership."
Treasurer Tom Borrowman offered praise for Harward's frugality,
attributing Harward's resourcefulness and thrift for saving the money of
UYSA's members. Borrowman also thanked Harward for his assistance with
the recent semi-annual audit, which documented significant improvement in
the State Office's financial management.
"I am glad that the Board of Directors has recognized Scott's hard work,"
said Burke. "To be sure, much work remains to be done to improve the Utah
Youth Soccer Association. But we are moving in the right direction. I am
confident that Scott will help this organization to better serve the Utah
soccer community."
