Board Bids Nancy Christensen Adieu

After almost two years of devoted service on the Board of Directors of the Utah Youth Soccer Association, Nancy Christensen stepped down as District IV Chairperson effective April 22, 2003. Veteran League 29 President Dave Mills has been elected to serve as the new District IV Chairman.

Christensen's tenure as District IV Chairperson will be remembered as a time of progress. Under Christensen's watch, the district implemented the state association's standard registration software, thereby enabling players in District IV to receive the full benefits of UYSA membership, including US Youth Soccer's new magazine. Christensen was also responsible for recruiting new volunteers to the district board, including a treasurer and district registrar.

Christensen's service to the Utah Youth Soccer Association has not come to an end. Christensen will remain as the ODP Team Administrator for the '87 Boys age group.

Christensen and her family will also be traveling to Hawaii in June to support Utah's teams at the Far West Regional Championships. Two of Christensen's sons will be playing in the tournament, representing Utah State Cup champions: Kyle, from Sterling Wescott's U-18 boys, and Kellan, from Mark Graham's U15 Inter team.
