Utah's Technical Director Appointed Head GK Coach
for Region IV ODP
Maas will also serve on ODP Oversight Committee

Region IV Boys ODP Head Coach Tim Schulz announced that Technical Director Greg Maas was appointed Head Coach for the Boys ODP Goalkeeper’s in Region IV. “We are extremely pleased that Greg will oversee the ongoing development and training for our goalkeeper’s,” Schulz said. Schulz also noted that Greg’s experience, knowledge and proven work ethic made this an easy decision for Region IV.

Maas will be accountable for all facets of goalkeeper development for every age group in Region IV. His new role begins November 27th through December 2nd at US Youth Soccer’s Interregional Event held at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California. “I welcome the opportunity and embrace the challenge this position has to offer. I am confident Region IV will continue its long standing tradition identifying and developing some of the best goalkeepers in our country,” Maas said.

In addition to his role as Technical Director, US National Staff Instructor and Region IV Head Coach, Maas was recently appointed as a member of Region IV’s ODP Oversight Committee. The committee was developed to evaluate and consider proposed changes to ODP. Maas represents only one of two Technical Director’s named to the committee in Region IV. Other committee members include: U17 US National Team Coach John Ellinger, US National Staff Coaches Mike Haas and Greg Ryan, Region IV ODP Head Coaches Tim Schulz and Mike Smith, Region IV Director Darl Rose, Region IV Deputy Director Ron Cooke, Colorado Technical Director Nate Shotts, Region IV Boys Brent Mangus, Region IV Girls Joyce Pineda, Alaska President Joe Ver and California North President John Murphy.
