Playing Experience: Played collegiate soccer for the University of Nebraska, and then went on to play for the Denver Diamonds, Chicago Cobras and Boston Breakers of the WUSA.
Favorite Soccer Team: Women's National Team
Favorite Soccer Player: Kate Markgraf
Most Memorable Soccer Experience: Playing for the Boston Breakers against the Washington Freedom in front of 11,000 people. We were winning the game, but Washington was dominating throughout and pushing for a goal. I was playing in the Central Midfield (of all things) and with time running out they hit a shot that struck the crossbar and I beat the Washington player to the ball aggressively shielding her off of the ball. Still holding the player off, I cleared the ball out of danger and as I was jogging up the field I noticed the player I was shielding was none other than MIA HAMM! Not only did I beat her to the ball, I held her off, won the ball and cleared the potential tying goal out of danger. That one moment made all my years of playing worth it!
Coaching Philosophy: Challenge players every day to be the best that they can be in a positive and fun environment. No matter how good the player is today, they can work hard to be a better player for tomorrow. They ALL have that opportunity, and I try to help them make the most of it.
Favorite Movie: Bad Boys
Favorite Book: Anything really - I love to read.
Favorite Food: As a coach on the road, whatever is closest.
Special Interests: My two dogs. They are both show dogs, which is a whole other level of competition.
Becky Says: "I am only one; but I am still one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. I will not refuse to do the something I can do." Quote from Helen Keller.
