Coach: John Ragsdale

Current Team: I enjoy being able to work with multiple teams, clubs and programs. Assistant Coach-Alta High School Men's and Women's Soccer; Assistant Coach-ODP; Goalkeeper Coach-ODP.

Coaching Experience: Founder of Wasatch Goalkeeper Academy. Has been training goalkeepers since 1986. State and Regional Goalkeeper Diplomas. Working towards National and International Goalkeeper Diplomas.

Playing Experience: Four time high school All State Team and All State MVP-1990 (Alta High School); Club-Sparta '72; Product of Utah ODP Program; Trained/played professional and semi-professional indoor and outdoor.

Favorite Soccer Teams: US Men's and Women's National Teams, RSL, Arsenal and any team that's playing on my TV.

Favorite Soccer Players: Tony Schumacher, Kasey Keller and Brianna Scurry.

Most Memorable Soccer Experiences: Being able to play on my older brothers team when I was three-years old. Meeting my wife at Western Regionals in California. Being part of a championship team that brought my coach and mentor, Lee Mitchell, his first state title. My time playing at the professional level.

Coaching Philosophy: To train players to achieve the goals they have set for themselves. Finding the balance of the four principles of goalkeeping - technical, tactical, mental and physical.

Favorite Movie: The Man From Snowy River

Favorite Book: Monkey Wrench Gang

Favorite Foods: Meat and Potatoes

Special Interests: Spending time with my wife, Erica, and our two dogs, Ari, a chocolate lab and our Rotweiller, Dozer. Camping, white water kayaking and tele-skiing Utah powder. Hawaii. Watching the kids I train progress and succeed.
