| Competition Program Information
The State Competition League, which is administered by the Utah Youth Soccer Association, offers the highest level of competition league soccer for youth soccer teams in Utah. Utah's top club programs participate in the State Competition League. More than 400 teams, hailing from as far north as Logan and as far south as Delta, have been organized into divisions for league competition based on gender, age, and competitive strength. There are players in the State Competition League from St. George as well as Logan. Perhaps no other league in the country matches Utah's State Competition League for its geographic and competitive reach.

New Sideline Policy Announced
Utah Youth Soccer Association has adopted a new Sideline Policy for the competition program and UYSA hosted tournaments. This policy is to be implemented for the Spring 2007 Season. The new policy allows the players and parents to be on the same side of the field, however, the team bench and parents are in separate areas. The policy includes a 20-yard technical area at the center line to allow for substitutions. (Please see the diagram below.)
UYSA has received a lot of positive feedback on this new policy and feels it will best meet the needs of all participants. Click here for a copy of the policy and a diagram. Coaches/Team Managers should see that their parents and players have a copy.
The Sideline/player area is as follows, Team A and their parents will be on the same sideline. The team bench will be on the assistant referee side of the field. Team B and their parents will be on the same sideline as well, and the team bench will be on the same sideline as the assistant referee.
