What is a Concussion??
A concussion is a brain injury that can occur after any blow to the head, neck, or body.
It is important to know the symptoms, because players are more vulnerable to a repeat concussion if they continue playing before full recovery.

Fuzzy or slowed down
Loss of memory
Slow reaction time
Difficulty remembering new things
Intolerance of bright lights and loud noises
UYSA has put policies and procedures in place in order to keep soccer players safe. It is important for everyone involved in UYSA to understand these procedures so that players can be properly treated and protected. Several important resources are listed below to help coaches, parents, and players.
