Fox 13 All UYSA Team

The Fox 13 All UYSA Team was created as a way to further honor the top players in the state for having an outstanding season.  Inclusion on the team recognizes the talent, hard work, and dedication your player has demonstrated throughout the season.  The team is an accumulation of the best players in the state as nominated and voted on by UYSA Coaches.

Forwards
 
zachMaas
Bio: Zach is an honors student and maintains a 3.8 cumulative GPA. He is committed to giving back to the game and enjoys assisting with youth soccer clinics, and most recently, a newly formed kindergarten program Kanga Kicks. Zach will graduate high school early, and enter Utah Valley University in the spring where he will study Exercise Sports Science. 
 
aaronNixon
Bio: Aaron has been playing soccer for 13 years.  Aaron’s passion, dedication, determination and love for the game has attributed to his success on the field.  Aaron and his TOSH State Select 99 (ODP) teammates took the National Championship title in 2015, a first for Utah.  Not only is Aaron a great competitor on the field he has also been successful academically and in the community.  He earned his Eagle Scout ranking at age 14 and he retains a 3.89 GPA.  He has committed to play for Utah Valley University (UVU) men’s soccer team.
 
loganBeus
Bio: Logan has played soccer ever since he could run.  He has incredible foot skills and speed which have contributed greatly to his success as a soccer player.  He has played Premier level soccer since he was 9 years old.  He is a smart player and has fantastic field vision.  His coach Robyn Bretzing had this to say about Logan, “Logan is a remarkable young man on and off the field.  He leads by example and encourages his teammates to excel on the athletic field and in the classroom. His quickness and tenacious attacking attitude sets him apart from other players.  Logan has a passion for the game and is one of the most competitive players I have ever met.  He is a great leader on the Rangers 98 team and it has been an honor to coach such a remarkable young man.”
 
marshallJohnson
Bio: Marshall has loved the game of soccer from his early years. He has played for Forza (or Rush as it was previously called) for the last 11 years, being on a competition team for the last nine years. He has been coached by Ray Parkhurst, for the last four years and played on the 2016 ODP team. He is currently a Senior at Viewmont High School,Marshall has a 3.75 GPA and enjoys his studies in Sports Medicine, History and Art. He enjoys the outdoors and high adventure activities. He is an Eagle Scout, completing his project with his passion for soccer in working with the TOPSoccer Organization.  Marshall is the 2nd of four children and lives in Centerville, UT. 
 
Midfielders

Bio: Cameron is from American Fork, Utah, and is the oldest of 5 children. He works very hard at school and is a senior at American Fork High School with a 3.9 GPA. Cameron is a center midfielder and has played for Rangers since he was 7 years old. He was named a captain of this team at age 13 and has been a captain every year since. He has played a critical role in helping this team win 4 State Cup finals. He is a great ball winner and wins balls in the air as well as anyone in the state. He scored the game winning goal in the final this year off of a header in Rangers 2-0 win over USA. He also helps coach a U11 Rangers team. He plays the ukulele and would like to go into communications or journalism after he graduates. He loves to read biographies. He plans on serving an LDS mission right after graduation.

Bio: Easton Embley has played soccer since he was three years old. He is a talented midfielder and he has received national recognition for his play. He has been on his club team since age 8 and winning State Cup in 2015 and finalist 6x. Easton is a leader on and off of the field, being captain for both his club and the national champion TOSH State Select 99 (ODP) team. Off the field, he is a senior at Layton High, where he is an honor roll student with a 3.9 GPA. Easton enjoys spending time with his friends and family and is excited to play Division one college soccer at the University of Portland.

Bio: 
Jacob has been obsessed with the game of soccer since he was in his crib. He has played for his local club, Utah Soccer Alliance, since he was 4, and his USA Premier 98 squad since U9.  He and his teammates have gone on to win 4 Utah State Cup’s, 2 Desert Premier League titles, an amazing 12 UYSA League titles and numerous other championships along the way.  He played many years with the Utah 98 ODP squad, including their 2015 turn as the Region IV ODP Championships Finalist.  In addition to the outdoor game, Jacob is a fantastic futsal player, and earned a call-up in 2015 to the U.S. Futsal National Team Camp in Kansas City. As of right now, Jacob is still undecided on where to attend college.  Active in his community and his church, Jacob is a well-rounded student-athlete, and is considering pursuing a degree in an engineering field.

aidanDayton
Bio: Aidan has played every competitive soccer season since he was 8. He eats breathes and sleeps soccer. As a sophomore, he earned a starting spot on Real Salt Lake’s Academy team in Arizona. He played up a year with Utah Storm, coached by Jeff Lewis until his teammates moved on to college this year.  This season he was privileged to play with the USA U19 team coached by Sean Angeletti. He has verbally committed to play for Utah Valley University and looks forward to moving onto the next level.

Bio: 
Graduating early from American Fork High School to serve his LDS mission to Fiji in February 2017, with a commitment to return home and play for Greg Maas at Utah Valley University in 2019. Has been playing soccer since he was 4. He is also an Eagle Scout with a 3.7 GPA. Loves country music, fly-fishing, and restored vintage motorcycles. He is the second of 5 children.

Bio: Blaine started playing soccer when he was 8 years old, and he has loved the sport ever since.  He has started and stayed on the same team, playing for La Roca, and coach, TJ Waters.  Blaine is an honor roll student, an active member of his community and church and loves all sports.  Blaine plans to serve an LDS mission after he graduates.  After which he looks forward to attending college and continuing to play soccer.

Bio: Jackson McBride has always loved soccer and is very passionate when he competes on the pitch. He is a fierce competitor and is always striving to learn the game and improve his skills not only as a player but as a person as well. This passion also shows in education as he currently maintains a 4.0 GPA while taking AP courses as a Junior at Mountain View High School in Orem. Jackson enjoys leadership roles and is part of the Junior Class Student Council. One of his favorite hobbies is drumming and he is an amazing drummer. Jackson is the youngest of 4 children. His parents are Clarence and Lori McBride.

Bio: Javier Javi Vieyra started playing the sport since the day he could walk. Javi's passion for the game helped him become one of the best, most dedicated, and hardworking goalkeepers in the state. Javi currently plays for La Roca FC and has represented his state in various occasions when competing at the state and national level with La Roca or his ODP team. In 2013 Javi was recruited to play for the Real Salt Lake residential academy in Arizona and compete at the academy level against the best players in the country. He has been in a State Cup final 3 times with his club team and won it once in 2014. In 2015 Javi won a Regional and a National Championship with his TOSH State Select 99 (ODP) team. Javi also enjoys drawing and his favorite school subject is math. He is currently uncommitted to a college for soccer as he is making his final decision on where he would like to play after high school.

Bio: 
Tanner has played soccer from the time he could walk. He loved playing in the field, but his True love is being a goal keeper. Tanner is not afraid of the ball and his motto is,” sacrifice the body for the ball”. His dedication to his sport and his desired playing position is remarkable. He loves training, keeper camps, 1 on 1’s, and guest playing for anyone who will ask him. Tanner lives and breathes soccer. He has accomplished great things with his soccer and continues to strive to be better every time he plays.
