Bio: Olivia is an extremely versatile player having experience as a Midfielder/Forward in Club and High School play and even some experience as a center back for the U-17 National Team. She is a leader by both her voice and her example to all of her teammates everywhere she goes. Olivia is also one of the most accomplished players of her age with multiple State Cup championships, youth national team call-ups, and Golden Ball winner at a national tournament, Olivia is one to watch moving into her last year of youth soccer and beyond when she plays for BYU.
Bio: Brooklyn is the youngest of 10 children and quickly joined them in playing soccer, she started at age 5. She is quite the exciting person both on and off the pitch and tries to make life a party everywhere she goes. Brooklyn was the leading scorer at the 2016 Far West Regionals for the 18U age group. In addition to her talents as a soccer player, she also plays the piano and likes to dance. In school, she was an Academic All-State and graduated with gold cords. Brooklyn will be playing soccer in college for Dixie State University where she will study nursing.
Bio: Ashley is a natural winner and competitor who with her club La Roca FD, has won 4 State Championships, 1 Regional Championship and a 3rd place finish at Nationals all within the last 6 years. She began playing since the age of 3 and truly loves the game. Ashley is a repeat member of the Fox 13 All UYSA Team, but as a midfielder last year. She has signed with Utah State University where she hopes to study either business or sports medicine. Her big picture goal is to eventually play professional soccer.
Bio: Another repeat member of the Fox 13 All UYSA Team, as a forward last year, Cameron is another one of the most accomplished players in the state. She has spent the last 7 years as a member of the 98 Celtic FC Premier team as a leader and a captain. She was named the 2017 TOSH Female Player of the Year and has been named to both the Region IV and the Inter-regional ODP all-star teams twice. Cameron has signed to play for BYU in the upcoming Fall season after recently graduating with honors.
Bio: Quite the athlete, Mikayla excelled at multiple sports but ultimately decided that soccer was her love and she put most of her athletic efforts into the sport. She made a great decision as her playing career has been filled with successes both for club and country. She was also a member of the Fox 13 All UYSA Team last year as a midfielder. Mikayla was called up to the youth national team last year and loved her experience there. She has taken that experience to develop as a player and as a person. Mikayla will be playing college soccer with BYU in the Fall.
Bio: Alexis Nelson, is one of the rare members of this team who is not currently committed to a college to play soccer. However, this is only because she has multiple opportunities and is just looking for the right one. Whoever does end up landing Alexis on signing day next year will be getting a great player and a great person. Alexis currently carries a 4.0 GPA in addition to her being a 4 year captain for Fred Velez's USA team. She has a great love for the sport and wants to coach youth soccer and work with kids. She wants to study nursing as well as play soccer in college.
Bio: Siri is an outstanding individual on the pitch, in the classroom, and in the community. After 4 years of being a finalist Siri and her team took a State Cup Championship this past season. She has signed to stay local and play college soccer for Utah Valley University where she plans on studying exercise science before eventually moving on into the medical field. She recently graduated with high honors as well showing her ability in multiple areas of her life. She was an active member of her high school's Hope Squad which works on Suicide Prevention.
Bio: 2017 was a big year for Grace Johnson as not only did she win a State Cup Championship but she also won a DPL Championship and a PDT Championship. Grace is more than just a soccer player as she is a great artist, avid reader and lover of Harry Potter. She also enjoys outdoor activities, being with her family, and her dog, Bogey. Grace is also quite skilled at basketball helping her high school team take 2nd in the state this past year. She also has the exciting opportunity to be playing soccer with her sister at Ole Miss University.
Bio: Another extremely talented defender on Pancho Ovalle's La Roca team, Sofi is talented both on and off the field. One of her parent's favorite memories is of a game when Sofi was 7 years old and playing goalkeeper where she took the ball all the way down the field and scored. Sofi is an extremely bright student as well with a high ACT score and great GPA. She is committed to Portland State University at the moment. She has also had to overcome adversity as she tore her ACL last year only to come back strong and help La Roca PO win a State Cup Championship.
Bio: Livia "Lulu" Borges was born in Hawaii before moving to Utah at 1 year old. She has played competitive club soccer since 6 years old. A 4 time State Cup Champion. Lulu has had great memories with La Roca FD, winning those titles, as well as a Regional championship in 2015. Another multi sport star in high school she played both soccer and basketball. She was a finalist for the Governors State Of Sports Awards for High School Female Athlete and has signed to play soccer with the University of Utah next Fall.
Bio: Born in Ogden, but growing up in Brigham City with her twin sister, MaKayla played for multiple club teams before settling on L30 Crush Blue. This has been a great team for MaKayla as she has been there for it all as Crush worked its way up the ranks all the way to the Premier 1 division. She was also a member of the National Presidents Cup Champion Team and will be going to Seattle with her team for Far West Regionals this year. She has signed to play as an outside back with Western Wyoming Community College for two seasons before transferring to Weber State to pursue a degree in Interior Design.
Bio: Back as a Fox 13 All UYSA Team Goalkeeper is Savanna Empey. Savanna is one of 3 goalkeepers in the Empey household and looks to have made a great choice as she has signed to play for BYU in the upcoming season. A tremendous multi-sport athlete Savanna won a State Championship in basketball this past year as well. A tremendous goalkeeper with a knack for keeping clean sheets, Savanna won a State Cup Championship with 98 Celtic FC Premier this past season after multiple finalist appearances. She believes her success is a direct result of her family, her teammates and her preparation.
Bio: Kaytlin grew up with the sport playing defense before starting to play goalkeeper for half a game as a motivator to not get scored on. If she was scored on she would play harder to make up for it. She has spent the last 7 years as a full-time goalkeeper she has developed a passion for the position and will be playing for Weber State University next Fall. Kaytlin has been extremely successful with La Roca FD winning multiple State Cup Championships as well as a Region IV Championship. She has backstopped her team to two DPL championships as well.
