Inter FC 0 vs Arizona Golden Eagles White 1

Arizona dominated the 1st half of the game and came close to scoring off a shot from 30 yards out which hit the crossbar. Inter played a stong physical defense. A player who stood out in defensive for Inter was Tyson Gehring. The only offensive threat by Inter in the 1st half was set up by the fancy foot work of Ryan Ulanch. In injury time of the 1st half Inter fouled an Arizona player from behind in the box for a penalty kick. Arizona made the kick and ended the half 0-1.

Inter kept up their strong defense during the 2nd half which frustrated Arizona's offense and caused them to get a yellow card. The referee missed a few calls that could of benefited Inter. In the 30th minute Ulanch had a shot on goal that the keeper saved. With seven minutes left Kellan Christensen missed a close break away. With 5 minutes left James Jaramillo had a great shot, but the keeper had an amazing save. With 3 minutes left Christensen had another opportunity that hit the cross bar. Then, Arizona had an opportunity that got past the keeper but an Inter defender cleared it away. Inter strongly dominated the 2nd half but couldn't even the score. Look for a good match tomorrow against Hawaii's HSC Bulls 88.

Inter FC 2 vs HSC Bulls 88 1

In the 8th minute Hawaii got an early break-away goal. In the 10th minute Ryan Ulanch dribble two defenders and had a low shot from 25 yards out that the Hawaii keeper bounced on. In the 30th minute Sina Alipour had a nice cross that got over the keeper but nobody could get a clean head on it to put it in the goal. Hawaii received a yellow card for holding an Inter player. In the 35th minute Kellan Christensen had a shot from across ball that hit the post which was followed up by Dustin Graham who put it over the top. In the 39th minute Christensen created a free kick just outside the box which was crossed to Sina Alipour who then slotted it into the back of the net to ever the score 1-1 at half.

In the 2nd half Inter had a close opportunity in the 50th minute off a corner kick. Then, Russell McCluskey received a yellow for a hard foul from behind. James Jaramillo crossed a free kick which was headed out ten yards by a defender, drawing the keeper off the line and Ryan Ulanch headed the ball back in over the keeper into the goal. This put Inter ahead 2-1 in the 57th minute. Hawaii then attacks and heads the ball just wide of the upper corner. McCluskey had a strong defensive game. In the 70th minute Dustin Graham used his incredible speed to win the ball and cross it, almost getting a 3rd goal. In the last minutes of the game, keeper Nathan Miller had an amazing save which he knocked down and then made another save on the follow-up shot. Inter holds the win against Hawaii 2-1.

Inter FC 2 vs Boise Nationals 0

In the 8th minute Idaho had a shot go just wide of the left post. In the 15th minute Tysen Gehring had a hard half-volley shot from 20 yards out that was saved by the Idaho keeper. Idaho scored in the 23rd minute but the player was off side and their was no goal. Idaho put a shot over the goal from 5 yards away in the 31st minute. In the 40th minute Ryan Ulanch steps off after hurting his knee. The score at half was 0-0.

Early in the 2nd half Kellen Christensen had a 50-50 ball cleared by the Idaho keeper. Later, the Inter FC keeper had a great save from a hard shot by an Idaho player. In the 50th minute Kellen Christensen was taken down from behind in the box and Inter's James Jaramillo scored the PK to put Inter ahead 1-0. High intensity followed leading to several free kicks for Boise, but they failed to capitalize. Collin Halliday was given a yellow card as was Matthew Knoop, but again Boise was not able to score. Inter continued to attack despite leading to the end of the game. In the final minutes Kellen Christensen scored on a free kick as the ball bounced under the Boise keeper. Inter won 2-0.

Inter FC 2 vs FC United 0

The game stared out with Washington having much of the possesion with several shots, crosses and four corner kicks. Inter gradually gained more control. In the 14th minute Inter hit the crossbar on a free kick by Kellen Christensen from 27th yards away. Less than a minute later James Jaramillo hit the crossbar on a long shot from the left side. Matthew Ward made a good move and nutmeg close to the side line. The game was fast passed and high in intensity. James Jaramillo drew a foul and the resulting free kick was baring tipped away by the Washington keeper. In the 30th minute Jaramillo drew another foul in the box resulting in a PK. Jaramillo hit the shot hard into the lower corner for a 1-0 lead. Washington played a few long balls into the box which keeper Nathan Miller handled easily. In the 36th minute a long shot by Washington gave Miller trouble, there was a scramble in front of the goal for the rebound and a shot was blocked by a Inter defender. Just before the half a long free kick served in front of Inter's goal was knocked around inside the box before Inter cleared it away. Inter led at the half 1-0.

James Jaramillo and Sina Alipour worked a good combination on the left side. Jaramillo got into the box but couldn't get the shot off. In the 50th minute Washington had a good chance but Miller does well to come off his line and grabed the bouncing ball at the edge of his area. Matthew Knoop did a good job at winning a series of air challenges with his head. Inter accumulated five yellow cards for some hard challenges on the ball. At 60 minutes a long cross by Washington was volleyed over the goal. A few minutes later Kellen Christensen flicked a ball over a defender with his head near the right side line. Christensen then ran onto the ball and cut hard into the box and as he touched the ball past the keeper, the keeper dragged him down for another PK. The Washington goalkeeper was given a red card for the foul. Vic Carlson stepped up and buried the shot into the left side netting for a 2-0 lead. A few minutes later Russell McCluskey blocked a hard shot with his chest. Shortly after Miller made a good save on a 1 v 1 breakaway. Washington then hit a couple of shots harmlessly over the Inter goal. Both teams had a few more chances to score and the game ended 2-0.

Inter FC Premier Cosmos was officially organized August, 2002. The team practices and plays their home games in Sandy, Utah; though they draw quality players from throughout the Wasatch Front. During their first four months of competition Inter FC has compiled a record of 24-2-3. They were the Fall 2002 Division I league champions and won the Nitemares Before Christmas Tournament in Chino Hills, CA. The team features many ODP players and several players have made the Regional or National ODP pools.
