Advantage DP 0 vs San Juan Predators 5

Cal North came out strong and scored two goals in the first nine minutes. The Predators scored their 3rd goal in the 20th minute from 25 yards out.

Utah had a header on goal early in the 2nd half, but struggled to create additional scoring opportunities. Cal North showed some poor sportmanship and received a yellow card, after which scoring their 4th and 5th goal created by exceptional passing to win the game 5-0. Utah should have a better game tomorrow against Nevada Premier 86.

Advantage DP 0 vs Las Vegas Premier 1

Nevada surprised Utah with an early goal on a set play in the first minutes of the game. Scott Lewis had a diving header just past the post. In the last minutes in the first half Las Vegas Premier keeper played a pass back with his hands for an indirect kick for Utah. Utah played it quick and got it past the keeper but a Las Vegas defender knocked it away from the net to save the goal. The first half was played evenly except for Utah having several close opportunities at the end.

Early in the second half Skylar Parkhurst received a yellow card after getting tangled up with a Las Vegas player who also received a yellow. Parkhurst did very well winning the ball in the midfield throughout the game. In the 60th minute Scott Lewis crossed the ball to Colin Orton who trapped the ball behind him then turned and shot it wide. Lewis had a great offensive game. Nevada missed a close opportunity in the 70th minute. Soon after, keeper Zach Petersen had a great save from a hard shot. Nevada received a yellow card for talking back to the referee as well as Dallas Bauman who received a yellow for a hard slide tackle. With the lead, Nevad showed poor sportsmanship by using every time-wasting tactic possible. In the 85th minute Utah got a shot off a corner kick but the Las Vegas keeper saved it. Soon after, Utah gave up a free kick just outside the box, but Las Vegas could not put the shot away. Utah dominated the midfield in the second half, but didn't have enough threat in the front third of the field to create scoring opportunities. Advantage stepped it up a lot since yesterday's game against Cal North.
