Congratulations to the 2005 Utah Youth Soccer State Cup Champions!
The Memorial Day finals started with what seemed like
a monsoon that drenched Lakeside Sports Park with rain
and even hail. All start times had to be pushed back
an hour and a half, but once the games were up and
running, it was a finals day to remember!
The talent was impressive and the competition was
intense with four games ending in kicks from the mark!
Special thanks goes to Fox Channel 13 and the Salt
Lake Tribune for their coverage of the tournament.
Below is a list of final teams and scores.
Don't forget! The State Cup finalists will be honored
at the ReAL vs. CD Universidad de Catolica match,
Wednesday, June 8, at Rice Eccles Stadium. All
participants should meet at the SE corner of the
stadium by the RSL ticket booth by 6:50pm, and ask for
Chad Sackett or Greg Zaskowski.
All finalist players, families, and friends receive
discounted tickets.
Best of luck to the 2005 State Cup Champions in the
Region IV tournament, taking place June 20-26 in
Aurora, Colorado. We know you'll make Utah proud!
