La Roca - DP (2) vs Northern United (1) (Overtime)

This time has won State Cup several times. They won this year and in 2006 as part of the La Roca Club and also in 2004 as part of the Advantage club. Their defense is rock solid and they have a winning attitude.

Match Recap Both teams played extremely hard, showing their determination to win. The first goal was scored by La Roca. Cory Craynor was taken down from behind in the box and La Roca was awarded a penalty kick. Mitch Fackrell stepped up for La Roca and kicked the ball hard with his left foot. The quick Northern United goalkeeper deflected the shot but Fackrell followed it up and put it away for a goal. Late in the 2nd half another penalty kick was awarded. This time it was given to Northern United. One of Northern's players was going in on a breakaway and was pushed off the ball by a LaRoca player and was awarded the shot. The penalty kick was taken by Derek Boggs and converted to a goal.

The match ended in a 1-1 tie, sending it to overtime. At about the 5th minute in the first overtime Cory Craynor had the ball near the corner flag and crossed it in front of the goal. Mitch Fackrell dove straight out and headed the ball to the back of the net giving La Roca a 2-1 edge. Northern United attacked the La Roca defense who held them off during the 2nd overtime period coming out with the win.
