Two of our Policies were discussed and modified at the November 17 Board Meeting. The modifications are as follows:
Section 6 FORFEIT POLICY - 6315 Results and Standings
f. A Team shall lose three (3) points in the standings for each forfeited game. A Team shall also be dropped one spot in the standings at the end of the season if the Team incurs two or more of these forfeits.
The previous policy stated that a team would lose 3 points for refusal to travel. The phrase "refusal to travel" was removed.
Section 5 ADJUDICATION POLICY - 5.5.3 Protest Matters Process and 5.4.2 Appeals Process
1. Filing of Protest
A. A written protest must be electronically transmitted, mailed, or hand delivered to the State Office within five ( 5 ) business days of the protested action or decision.
1. Filing of Appeal
A. Within five ( 5 ) business days of issuance of a written decision, a party may file a notice of appeal to the AC.
The previous policy allowed 14 days and 21 days to file a protest or appeal. The time frame for filing an official protest or appeal were changed to 5 business days.
