SUU/ UYSA Youth Soccer Night
SUU Soccer and Utah Youth Soccer Announce
Instruction and activities to follow match against Sacramento State this Friday
The Southern Utah Soccer team has announced a FREE clinic that will be hosted this Friday, October 5th, immediately following the SUU soccer game. The match kicks off at 4:00 pm and the clinic will commence following its conclusion. This clinic is being held in partnership with the Utah Youth Soccer Association. Members of the UYSA staff will be present to run the sessions along with the SUU players who will be on the field to mingle with the youth players, perform demonstrations and also run some of the stations.
This event is open to all players, boys and girls, of all ages and ability levels. The focus is on fun and instruction so everyone should walk away learning something new and having a great time. Participants do not need to wear soccer specific gear, although they are encouraged to have athletic attire on so they can run around and play all of the games. Running shoes are fine and shin guards are optional physical contact will be limited but there will be stations set up that will involve full on games.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own soccer ball and a water bottle which should be marked clearly in order to ensure their return.
Friday's contest will be the Thunderbirds first ever home game as member of the Big Sky Conference, so the team encourages fans to come ready to cheer loud at the game and then cut loose right after at its fun, FREE soccer clinic.
