La Roca U17 Boys Win National Presidents Cup Crown

The La Roca FC Boys U17 team came ready to play on Sunday as they defeated YMS Clash from Eastern Pennsylvania 4-1 in their journey for the National Presidents Cup Championship. After finishing pool play with 2 draws and a win, Coach Derek Tate knew that his team was poised to have a breakout game, “These boys have been through a lot of games together and they came here with a goal to win it all. I'm proud of them for accomplishing their goal”.

La Roca FC earned a spot in the Regional Presidents Cup by drawing a wild card after finishing as finalist in the 2013 UYSA Presidents Cup held in Mesquite, NV.  They made the most of the opportunity by not leaving anything on the field in route to a Regional Presidents Cup championship last month in Boise, ID. As noted earlier, the boys will leave Auburndale, FL as the 2013 National Presidents Cup Championships.

The win brought Utah Youth Soccer's all time record in National Presidents Cup matches to 3-0. (La Roca U17 boys won it all in 2011 and the Wasatch ‘La Roca FC’ U13 girls won the title earlier today). Congratulations to the players, coaches, parents, and supporters.
