Utah Youth Soccer Association Announces the Hiring of Skyler Bell, Director of Coaching and Player Development

Sandy, UT – 07.14.2020 : Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA), the leader in promoting, developing and governing youth soccer in Utah is excited to announce the addition of Skyler Bell, as Director of Coaching and Player Development to its technical department.

 

A Brigham Young University graduate, Skyler will return to Utah after 10 years serving as the State Technical Director of Idaho Youth Soccer Association. There, Skyler worked with his Executive Director to resolve statewide issues, directed marketing and public relations for the association and built and maintained relationships with affiliates across the state. With nearly 20 years’ experience in youth soccer with a US Soccer “A” License, National Youth License and Grassroots Instructor License, Skyler is known across the West Region and the state of Utah for his leadership and collaborative attitude.

 

Eric Landon, Technical Director for UYSA looks forward to bringing Skyler, his experience and skill-set to Utah; Landon says, “I am excited to welcome Skyler to the UYSA family. He brings a wealth of experience as a State Technical Director, U.S. Soccer National Instructor and Regional ODP Staff member. As the State Technical Director in Idaho for over 10 years he will help us grow and develop the game of soccer in Utah as we aspire to be the premier youth sports organization in Utah and the country.”

 

As the State Technical Director in Idaho, Skyler spent time interacting with Utah on many levels. “Skyler’s experience working in a state association and his knowledge of Utah will allow him to hit the ground running with our many different programs offered to membership. Skyler will help us provide more opportunities for both formal and informal coaching education and player development across the state. I am excited for our members to have another resource in the Technical Department,” Landon continues.

 

After 10 years away, Skyler is excited to move his wife, Karli, and 5 kids back to Utah. Bell says, “I'm grateful for the opportunity to return to the Utah soccer community after being gone for the past decade. UYSA already has incredible leaders in place. As a State Technical Director I've had a front row seat to watch Utah's growth in becoming one of the highest performing and most well respected state associations in the country. I couldn't be more excited to join the team."

 

Skyler is set to join the staff at UYSA August 3rd.
