Free Clinics Sponsored by District 2 and 6 Feature RSL Players and a Chance for Kids to Play their Parents

Kids love to play the game, and they love it even more when family and friends cheer them on. But we've all been to games where the sidelines turn from positive to ugly when spectators begin to criticize and even complain all game long, about the refs, the other team, even their own team.

So what better way to get the crowd to understand what it's like on the field, then to put the crowd on the field! The "Parents Play Kids Day" Clinics are designed to get parents on the pitch and give them a chance to understand the game from a different point of view: as a player!

It's a great opportunity for parents and their kids to enjoy playing soccer together. Whether you are the perfect sideline parent, or could use some work with your game day manners, "Parents Play Kids Day" will be a fun experience for everyone!

Real Salt Lake will have some surprise players in attendance to participate in the clinic and sign autographs afterwards (that's right, it's every parent and players chance to play with the best!) Clif Z-BaR, the new organic "anti-junk" energy bar made specifically for active kids, is sponsoring "Parents Play Kids Day." District 2 and 6 have sponsored this years clinics, and Greg Maas, UYSA State Technical Director, will be running the sessions in association with USYS, who will be providing YSM goodies for all to enjoy. The clinics are free and everyone is welcome to attend. Please bring proper soccer playing attire, a ball, and water. And of course, dress for the weather.
