Minimum Standard League Discipline
- 3 Cautions in a Season… Results in 1 Game Suspension
- Red Card… Results in 1 Game Suspension
- Red Card “Violent Conduct”… Results in 2 Game Suspension
- Red Card or Ejection of Coach… Results in 2 Game Suspension
*League Commissioner Discretionary Authority… May add up to 4 Game Suspension to the Minimums
**For any event that “could” result in a penalty beyond the League Commissioner’s authority, the matter is forwarded to the UYSA Discipline Chair.
Incidents involving referees, UYSA is required to follow USSF policies (Policy 531-9)

Spring 2023
Pre-game, a coach threatened the referee that if she didn’t call handballs appropriately, he would have the League fire her as a ref. The referee immediately abandoned the game.
The Discipline Panel suspended the coach for 2 games and the game itself was marked as a forfeit
Summer 2023
During a UYSA-OM-sponsored tournament game, post-game a coach verbally abused the referees, tournament staff and players from the other team (who were minors). Much of the altercation was caught on video.
Discipline Panel suspended the coach for 1 year.
Summer 2023
During a UYSA-OM-sponsored tournament, coach of multiple teams had multiple run-ins with referees and tournament officials.
The Discipline Panel suspended the coach from coaching all teams for 3 months (the entirety of the Fall season). The suspension was upheld on appeal.
Summer 2023
During an out-of-State tournament, Coach became frustrated with the behavior of a player on the sideline and pushed the player to have him sit down. Incident was caught on video.
The club suspended the coach without pay for 1 month and the Discipline Panel, after a hearing, upheld the 1 month suspension.
Fall 2023
Coach, during a mass confrontation event between players, pushed down a coach from the other team. Criminal charges for assault were brought.
Coach was suspended indefinitely during the pendency of the criminal case and, after the criminal matter was resolved, was suspended for 6 additional games.
Fall 2023
Post game, coach had a verbal, very foul-mouthed, altercation with a coach from the other team within earshot on the 12yr old players.
Coach was given a 6-game suspension and required by his club to complete an anger management course before coaching in UYSA again.
Spring 2024
Team Manager who was sitting near the coaching staff entered the field and physically confronted a minor player from the other team who had fouled her child. The incident was caught on video.
The Team Manager was suspended indefinitely due to the assault on a minor.
State Cup April 2025
Assistant Referee was removed from all the rest of the State Cup for making an unprofessional, derogatory comment to the parents behind him.
