Utah Olympic Development Program

We are excited to invite you to participate in the Utah Olympic Development Program (ODP) – a player identification and development opportunity offered by Utah Youth Soccer and US Youth Soccer.

The mission of Utah ODP is to identify talented and dedicated players on a consistent basis and provide them with meaningful opportunities for development, exposure, and advancement at the state, regional, national, and international levels. This program is designed to complement your club experience and serve as an additional resource to support your growth as a player.

How the program works:

  • Open Identification centers (tryouts) inside the state (U17-U11)
  • Utah ODP Training pool (U17-U11)
  • Utah ODP Final teams attend ODP West Region Championships (U17-U13)
  • From Championships – U.S Youth Soccer Region Staff will select players to attend West Region Camp
  • From Region Camp – U.S. Youth Soccer Region Staff will select players to attend Interregional Camp
  • From Interregional Camp – U.S. Youth Soccer Region Staff will select players to attend ODP national travel teams

Additionally, UYSA believes that ODP should be accessible to all athletes regardless of their financial situations. Please contact ODP Admin, Jenni Breckenridge at jbreckenridge@utahyouthsoccer.net if you are in need of financial assistance.

Utah ODP and Southern Utah ODP

The programs are different and have different dates, please click the respective links and calendars. Southern Utah ODP is for players that live in Cedar, St George, Mesauite or surranding areas, all trainings will be at Shivwits Fields. North ODP is the rest of the state and will have training sessions in different counties – Primarily Salt Lake and Utah County

International Trips offered in 2027

Tryouts for ODP will be in summer of 2026, if a player makes the training pool, they will have the oppurtunity to go on the international trip, there are no scholarships for this trip, it is offered to the training pool and is a soccer expereince trip, we will not play in tournaments, but we will train in professional academy settings and play friendlies with teams in other countries.
