Beginning in fall 2024, some exciting new updates are coming to Utah’s Olympic Development Program (ODP)!
Updated ODP Cycle Older Ages
Ages: 2009’s – 2012’s
As we prepare for this new year of ODP, the official seasonal cycle has shifted for the older age groups beginning in October with ID Sessions (Tryouts). From there, Training pools will take place in November and December before the final rosters are selected for ODP Championships in January.
One important thing to note is there will be NO ODP COMBINE for the older age groups for this cycle.

Updated ODP Cycle Younger Ages
Ages: 2013’s and 2014’s
Similar to the older age groups, the younger ODP Cycle has also shifted in addition to the overall programming. ID Sessions will begin in August followed by Training pools throughout September and October. A combine will then be held in Mesquite in January, followed by a trip to Barcelona in spring of 2025.

Other Notable Updates
Northern Utah U17’s will no longer attend ODP Championships.
Only U11’s & U12’s will attend ODP Combine in Mesquite in January.
Northern Utah U15 boys are now a separate programming in partnership with Real Salt Lake. More information will be released regarding this change, however, the roster has already been decided for this seasonal year.
Updated Southern Utah ODP Cycle
Ages: 2008’s – 2013’s
As we prepare for this new year of ODP, the seasonal cycle and programming has shifted. ID Sessions (Tryouts) will begin in August and run through early October. From there, Training pools will take place in November before the final rosters are selected for ODP Championships in January.
Important Note: Southern Utah age groups are being combined and six teams will travel to ODP Championships: U12/U13 Boys, U14/U15 Boys, U16/17 Boys, U12/U13 Girls, U14/U15 Girls, & U16/17 Girls.
Depending on numbers, age groups pools could be split to form two pools for that specific age group that will travel to Championships.
Additionally, there will be NO ODP COMBINE for this cycle.
